This note is to announce that the 2006 Power System Conference and Exposition will be moving to the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel. The venue has been changed since the Marriott Marquis will be undergoing major renovations to their meeting space during the dates of PSCE, 29 October-1 November 2006. To eliminate the disruption that would be caused by the renovation of the meeting space that week, the PSCE leadership has relocated the conference to the newly renovated Sheraton Atlanta Hotel, located in the same area of Atlanta, just 2 blocks away from the original hotel.
There are no changes to the exhibit floor layout and the technical program. The previously assigned dates and times for all sessions, tutorials, and tours have not changed. The only change is the location. E-mails with details have been sent to all exhibitors, registrants, hotel guests, corresponding authors, and session chairs. All conference registration fees and hotel rates remain unchanged.
Building on the success of the inaugural event in 2004, the 2006 IEEE PES Power Systems Conference & Exposition is a major power systems event that will again provide an exceptional venue for discussing issues and developments as well as for highlighting key vendors with products and services essential to the multifaceted field of electrical power systems.
PSCE will bring together an international group of power systems engineers, operators, planners, policy makers, economists, academics and others with interest in the profession. The conference will begin with a timely and valuable plenary session and will also include tutorials on the most up-to-date topics on power systems. In addition, the conference will comprise an outstanding combination of technical paper and panel sessions focusing on the following tracks:
The exposition will feature exhibitors that will showcase state-of-the-art software and hardware systems as well as consulting services for those involved with power systems.
There will be times devoted exclusively to the exhibits -- with no parallel technical sessions scheduled -- so attendees can focus on the displays and have a chance to speak directly with vendors about the latest technologies.
See the exhibits page for more information.
Power systems engineers, operators, planners, policy makers, economists, academics, and others working in the areas of planning, operation, implementation, security, and related areas, will greatly benefit from the discussions during meeting sessions and exposition describing, high-lighting, and demonstrating the most up-to-date systems technologies in the industry. Vendors providing software and hardware systems as well as consulting services can access a large number of leaders in fields utilizing their products and services by participating in the PSCE'06 exposition. Both the conference and exposition of this event are sure to make this a premier international power systems gathering.
