Enjoy a lively historic walk through the oldest part of Manhattan – New York’s Financial District. Guided by the animated and knowledgeable native New York historian Joyce Gold, you will discover the remains of New Amsterdam and visit some of the most famous sites in Manhattan’s history. This tour will encompass symbols of great significance to America’s existence. This tour will include visits to Federal Hall, The New York Stock Exchange, The Statue of Liberty, Ground Zero, and much more.

Time will be allocated for lunch and area restaurants will be recommended.

You are invited to visit Kykuit, the Rockefeller estate, an American legacy. For architecture, remarkable gardens, art, history, spectacular scenery, horse-drawn carriages, and classic automobiles, a daytrip to Kykuit is simply amazing. John D. Rockefeller, the philanthropist and founder of Standard Oil, completed the estate in 1913, and it was home to four generations of the Rockefeller family. The Hudson’s Valley’s most exceptional historic house and gardens, located in the heart of Sleepy Hollow Country. The day includes a coach bus from mid-town Manhattan up to the Hudson Valley. Joyce Gold will share a treasure of fascinating stories both serious and frivolous, about Manhattan and its people along the ride.

Walk through a small part of Central Park to understand why this natural work of art helped attract New York’s elite to this neighborhood. This walking tour guided by historian Joyce Gold will discuss the social and natural history of the land, mansions, and other sites. This tour includes a look at many of New York’s most renowned museums and mansions, such as Henry Clay Frick’s mansion and Ralph Lauren’s flagship store. Witness the residences and hear the stories of countless famous legends.
